    Hi,
Just picked this up from a member at B&B!
Wondering if anyone has any info on these???

Looks like a Star to me. I only have one of the handles but it's good. Solid brass with thick plating that you can polish up easy.

    Hi,
No, this is a Personna with an aluminum handle!

The Personna razor is essentially the British 'version' of the US-market Star DE razor (model 100).
To make that even more confusing the ASR owned both the Star and Personna brand names :)
I believe they also issued a third, identical, razor under PAL.

    Date-wise it's most likely from the 1950's.
It's a great razor - a tad more aggressive than the Gillette Tech that is has some resemblance to.

The handle should be aluminum but there's some debate if the head is chromed brass or not.

    Hi,
    Thanks DB!
    I think it's a great looking razor!

Does the razor feel to light with the handle being aluminum???

I have the Pal version. The handle and baseplate are aluminium. If this is similar, be careful as the baseplate is pretty soft and bends easily - I had to straighten mine when I got it. Fairly aggressive and a good shaver.

    Hi,
Thanks from the pic of mine apart and laying on the table, the base plate looks flat!
I will check it out though! I guess real aluminum is better than ZAMAK and I have that in my new Murkur!!!
