I'm going to try to go brushless for a month. I'm not going to be fanatical but I'll try and stick to them the best I can. I'll use the Parker Shavette with the same type of blade and see how it goes. I've already used a few of these creams quite a bit so I'll just concentrate on the ones I haven't used. As a rule (so far), I've found the skin care to be superb and the shaves excellent. image host
C.O. Bigelow can be used in the brushless mode and Barbasol in the tube is a long standing brushless cream. Enjoy your journey in the land of brushless!
I was hoping to find some in Denver(Barbasol) last weekend but had no luck, however, I did pick up the Cremo and Pacific.
Nifty little experiment really. Will you be trying any of the shave oils which are marketed as Soap/Cream replacements as well?
I believe TOBS, Floid and Bluebeards revenge had Oils & Gels which were marketed as shaving cream/soap replacement or as a preshave - I recall a few people on my last ex just using generic pre-shave oils and having reportedly decent results.
I have used just real shaving co.'s pre oil, prorasso post and a few others in place of creams or soaps in the past with decent results
Pacific is good stuff, me and my dad use that. Also, the Grooming Lounge brand of Shave Oil is pretty spectacular if I might say so. I know Jack Black has a shave cream combined with shave oil which might be worth trying out.
I use it both with and without soap or cream. Grooming Lounge products were the first upgrade in shaving products for me.
FWIW, RazoRock brushless is the best brushless that I've found (ymmv, of course). It foams slightly when you rub it on and then goes clear. But, it's the slickest stuff I've seen and it's my goto for traveling.
