I saw this on ebay as a BIN and at fist thought "Wow that's a sweet razor"! I first thought it was a Single ring or a Big Fellow, but its teeth were the wrong count (thirteen). Later I thought a Big Boy, but it has pass through post. So now I'm thinking a clone, but a nice one. Sorry for poor picture quality. So tell me what you think, it does have De luxe blades.
Hello Enrico, I have only one clue. The patina on the entire razor seems to be the wrong color. The patina that usually developed on early Gillette Single Rings, is usually a darker hue. This razor seems to be brownish. Most of the Gillette's I have seen are blackish once the patina sets in. It is a weak theory, but there it is. I call clone. Peace.
