Where I work there's a middle aged lady and gent who are known for being stubborn, and one absolutely hates coffee but loves tea while the other hates tea but loves coffee. Every day I have to listen to why "this oily emulsion is vile" and "tea is just leaf sludge". Personally I think they should get married. Currently both single! Anyway I like both coffee and tea but my preference is for coffee. I like a latte although this one has a little extra foam...
I had perhaps my worst coffee related experience ever this morning. No, didn't go to Charbucks. On a whim I bought a jar of Sanka. The taste is indescribably bland yet foul. Can't remember the last time I took a food item back to the store for a refund but I did this afternoon.
He obviously wasn't. @gorgo2 sadly the only way to get the taste out of your mouth is to bite off a chunk of Williams.
They must have changed the Sanka formulation over the years. It used to be "fresh, rich, deep in flavor...hot and dark..."
My grandparents would drink Sanka only when it came to coffee at dinner. I can still recall the ... um... distinctive taste it had. Of course, percolator method brewing until it "looked right" probably didn't help.
Trader Joe's instant is passable. The label says "Tastes amazingly close to a fresh brewed cup of coffee in an instant." If you put that into Google Translate, it comes out: "Tastes almost as good as an okay cup of coffee in a few seconds, not including time to heat the water." I use it to fortify my morning cup, if I didn't sleep well :}
