I smoke a lot of the C and D blends. The price is good and both of my favorite cigar stores carry it. Engine 99, Old Joe Krantz, and Bayou Nights are a few favorites. Yup I am a Latakia and Perique guy. What do you guys think of this brand?
The gal at the cigar store...a cigar smoking chunky gal... told me they were as good a quality as the bigger name stuff. I just know I like them.
I tried them years ago and liked what I tried but I don't remember for sure which ones. I think it was something with a cow in the name and contain some cigar tobacco.
Yup you are correct. Had to go look it up. http://www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend/2682/cornell-diehl-purple-cow
Great company. I've been smoking their stuff in various blends since the late 90's. They also private label tined blends for other smaller companies, I like Hermit Tobacco Works.
I smoke a lot of OJK, both straight and mixed with either PA or CH for a little extra kick. I also have some Bijou in the cellar aging. Will be getting some Father of Flame baccy soon, also to cellar and age (it's a straight VA).
Back in college and the first couple of years I was on the Job, I smoked a pipe. Picked it up again last year and puked my guts out. Drinking only.
I just picked up some of their Bayou Morning.... nice dose of Perique in this one.. I likey. Oh yea that is much better.......
I looked them up on TobaccoReviews.com. Quite the selection. It's going to take me a while to peruse their offerings. Thanks for the tip Fuzzy!
I like them. I was talking to one of the owners of my favorite cigar store. He says dollar for dollar some of the best around.
I bookmarked a couple for future reference. Bayou Morning, Chenet's Cake, Burley Flake #3, & Kajun Kake. Old Joe Krantz sounds interesting. Now I gotta stop buying shave gear and put my hobby money elsewhere!
