Cream Week 11/19 - 11/26

Another Thanksgiving upon us, another Theme Week getting started.
This one is for those, like me, who prefer using soaps - it's Cream Week! A chance to focus on just creams and try to discover why it is you prefer soaps over creams. There are some great ones out there - TSD Wheat, C.O. Bigelow/Proraso, TBS Maca Root, KMF - the list goes on.

Cream Week will run from Monday the 19th through Sunday the 26th. Maybe by then I'll come to a greater appreciation for creams and work them more into my rotation.

Yup, I primarily use soaps but have recently found Proraso Green. So I guess I'll be using it all week

 

Luckily I only put away the cream yesterday, so I still remember where I placed it into storage . I only have one, the Logona Mann shave cream, and I will be using that on a couple of days this week.

 

Sounds like this week I will be using my Israeli and Italian creams!

 

Oh Good! Maybe I can finally get another step closer to killing off some of these tubes LOL.

Starting with the blue Proraso.
Was not impressed the first time around. Perhaps I will grow more fond of it with more use.

 

I'll join in in this one starting tomorrow. In DC and only brought a stick. Have some new creams that should be in my mailbox when I get home today, GFT Coconut and Lime.

 

Count me in, right now I am really hungup on creams. Today it was Palmolive menthol. Then there is Tabac, C.O. Bigelow, TOBS Rose, Proraso Sandelwood, TBS Maca Root, Cella, Omega and something else that I can visualize but not remember at home plus three more Bulgarian creams on the way. So I think I have the week covered.

Over the past year or so... I accidentally bought a lot of shaving cream.

So definitely a good week for me, LOL!

 

Today I used the body shop Maca root. It has become my go to cream. I really enjoy the scent.

 

Menthol Monday and the start of Cream Week...
Has to be my C.O. Bigelow! I really like this stuff, although I had a bit too much water this morning and it was just a tad on the thin side. Good enough for a darn near BBS shave.

 

It was 28° F this morning when I took the dog out for the morning business which was a little chilly to be using a mentholated cream.

Today, I used the last of my CTAPT cream from Dmitry.

Most likely tomorrow will be Real Shaving CO SC. I have been enjoying this locally available cream recently.

 

I'm in. Time to break out my vintage Ingram's.

 

Today I used Herbs Of Bulgaria Lavender SC,I face lathered it today and ended up using less than I usually would if I bowl lathered.Really had a good lather going today.

 

The Body Shop Maca Root. I really like this cream.
The only problem for me with creams is that because I don't use them that often, and each one lathers up a little different, I never get the quantity right to start. Today I had enough for 6-7 passes EASY! Oh, well. I'm enjoying the theme!!

 

I'm with you Swarden. I made a 347 pass bowl of SMF unscented this morning. Ok I'm exaggerating a little, probably couldn't have got more than 340 passes out of the bowl.

As well as Shave My Face actually lathers I'm surprised it doesn't get more love.

The Tuesday cream was Fitjarsoaps Slåtterøy. A bay rum version.
I did not detect too much bay rum, but it smelled wonderful nonetheless.
I only have a 50ml sample, and when that runs out I'll probably buy a full sized puck.

Will probably not happen before 2014, though

 

Wednesday's cream was Proraso,the original green formula in the industrial strenght 500ml tube
