Yes. It will allow you to get a good grip on both the face and the razor, even if there is a little soap on your fingers. I keep my bar on the counter, and just run my finger over it again when they get wet.

Here we go. the Genco is up today. I went slow and paid attention. No blood today. Love that. I finished off the second pass and touch ups with the Gillette Gold Rocket with the Personna Super (42). Ended with a very nice shave.

 

We just need to get @Robyflexx on board now!

I decided to go for it today. I did two passes with the straight and a clean up pass with the Rocket.

The Saponificio Varesino Dolomiti Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #128 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Cattaragus Straight Razor today. I did a clean up pass with the English Gold Rocket and Personna Super (43). I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. No cuts. Woo-hoo! After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

And that gentlemen is how it's done by a " manly man".
