    Thanks, guys, for the kind words!

    Andrew, I think the GSB on day 7 was a tiny bit smoother than the Astra SP on day 1. Using DE blades past 3 shaves each provides a different perspective on how different blades compare. It will be fun to see how the Astra changes over the next few shaves.

    Sheesh, I knew I was a bit late to the party, but being day 1, I didn't figure I'd be 6 pages late!

    Going to focus on staying more current with the shenanigans and tom foolery that goes on 'round here.
    Been quite a while since I participated in the SOTD thread. Thought I'd get back into into it, but as this thread offers a bit of a twist...
    here I am.

    Prep: Hot shower
    Tunes: Pandora shuffle
    Coffee: Wegmans Traditional Medium, black
    Soap: Bathhouse Soaps Mud & Minerals
    Razor: Merkur Travel razor
    Blade: Astra SP, three passes, day 5
    Brush: Oscar11 synthetic
    Post: Brut ASB, Brut cologne, toss blade

    Just another great shave!

    Ok, I’ll go along with shave geeks not being the coolest of cool. My avatar is a cartoon shark, which, yeah...now that you mention it, is pretty cool. But - You’re an ice cream man. Like, for real!!! It doesn’t get too much cooler than that! :cool:

    It appears that my Dec. work life is going to be as normal as can be expected from any cage full of poo throwing monkeys, so I am jumping back in for the month.

    Lately, and for the near future, I am on the road four to five nights a week. Which means when I get home, and shave in my own den, it is kind of a real treat. As others have said, decadence isn’t in the products, it is in the process. So on the shaves I get at home, I am going to make sure they are as perfect as possible.

    I decided to kick off the month with Brian Brown, because with the spikes on both ends of the blade, one has no choice but to slow down and enjoy himself. The sheep based soap was super slick, and I finished up very nicely DFS’d. I hope you all have a great weekend.
