Do you play the Lottery ? Scratch offs , daily drawings and more .

I'm in West Virginia. I seem to have no luck on my lottery. If I go to a neighboring state I always do better. Any of you all lottery gamblers ??

 

I think I bought a total of 10 lottery tickets in my life, I prefer craps and black jack.

Every so often I will spend $2 on the lottery. Most of the time I end up losing, but hit for $500 last year on mega-millions.

 

Never bought a lottery ticket, never will.

 

Lottery is an ignorance tax levied on the inability to understand stats and probability.
Essentially just a way to get more tax from the poor.

 

I buy one ticket when Powerball hits 350mil. I know I am giving away money, but so are they.

 

I play the Daily 4 five days a week and 20-40$ in scratch offs a week .If the Powerball or MegaMillions is a big jackpot I'll play it.

 

If there is a pool at work, I do too. I do not want to be the one guy left.

I've played poker at a cash pro level. Not judging anyone. Just fyi.

 

In my opinion, It's the same as going to the casino, playing horses, at-coins, poker, whatever.... As long as you keep it at a comfortable level have at it.

 

My state has video slots on every corner , bar , coffee house . It's a gambling state. Probably why it's one of the poorest lol.

Saving is important, but nothing is guaranteed. I have seen it more than once...

 

I've considered it a tax on folks who are bad at math. Used to drop a fiver when the big games topped 100 mil, but now I'm semiretired with less disposable income. When I worked in a shop with a couple Players I'd toss a dollar into the Company Pool. We had an agreement that the winner would hire the others as caretakers for their Dream Estate. If I didn't live in the castle (with a moat), I'd be happy polishing the Rolls for the guy who did. It's fun dreaming, but every day I'd wake up and put my work clothes on. Still do.

Been to the casinos here in town. Three big ones, and a smattering of little joints. It's something I do when out of town folks are curious. For a twenty dollar bill I expect 3 - 5 well drinks & a couple hours of nickel slot/ video gaming. About the same money/ time/ entertainment ratio as going to the movies. Never made more than I spent.

 

Every once in a blue moon I buy a ticket or two. Maybe a few times a year. I could care less if the pot is 1 mil or 100. Either way changes a dude’s life, just a matter of degree.

I figure that the only real problems I have in life right now are tied to money somehow. Empty that void and something else will fill it. I can always go make more money.

 

Edit: And that it is possible to have turtle cheesecake delivered to a hotel room. That is a problem.
