To all, welcome to a new recurring thread called Dual Comb HQ. This thread is dedicated to the users of Dual Comb razors and discussions thereof. Now the qualification is that the teeth of the comb on one side must be totally open and the other side with a solid bar in order to qualify. For this thread simply photos and discussions of undisputed Dual Combs will do. The iKon Shavecraft #101, the iKon B-1 OSS, and Wolfman WR1-DC are good examples. You will see some of these and hopefully others as well in this thread If another member has posted a picture of a razor you have, then... be sure to post yours as well! The more the merrier!
I will be watching this thread. I love the show me threads. I don't own any dual combs, so it is fun to see what others have.
The Fendrihan Scientist stainless steel razor: Image is stolen from the Fendrihan site because my ability to get a photo of my own taken and uploaded is currently lacking. I'm sure there is some way to do it with this Blackberry Playbook thing I am pretending is a real computer right now but I don't know what it is. Anyway, I have had the razor for a couple months now and it is very nice, especially for the price for a fully stainless steel razor. It is somewhat aggressive - more than I am used to from using Schick Injectors and Gillette FatBoy or Black Beauty adjustables set between 3 and 5, but gives me a nice, clean shave if I go slow and careful. I am doing a 30 Day Focus with a Rockwell 6s right now but am looking forward to getting back to the Fendrihan Scientist dual comb in December. (Actualy, maybe I will do a December Dual Comb focus...)
Friday, December 2, 2016 Simpson Jade M-7 Manchurian LE Saponificio Varesino Stella Alpina Wolfman WR1-DC with WRH7 Polished Brass Feather HS #2 Barrister and Mann Arctique A two pass, WTG/XTG and ATG, shave with clean up ended with a near BBS. The OC comb, used for the first pass, left very little stubble, just in my trouble areas. I used the SB for the second pass. It eliminated the stubble and left my face tingling with a scary close shave. Saponificio Varesino’s Stella Alpina lathered easily into meringue like peaks, with excellent lubrication, and good post shave feel. The cool feeling lather has a clean refreshing smell. Top Notes of Lemon Bergmot & Basil with Body Notes of Citrus, Myrtle & Eucalyptus, ending with Cypress & Amber.

Fair warning though: I am amending my description of it. I called it "somewhat aggressive "; I hereby retract the word "somewhat" in that description. I started a 30-day focus with it in the December shave clinic thread and so far, the razor is winning. If you like Joris or Fatip razors or the Muehle R41, then you'll love the Fendrihan Scientist; if you prefer a Gillette Tech or a Fatboy set below 5 or something like an EJ89, you'll hate it...
I do love me some fat handle tech... hmmm either way I'm not buying for my den right now.. let me know if you end up hating it.. maybe we can work out a trade .
Wow ... wow! I am very fond of my Shavecraft 101, but I have always felt the stainless bulldog handle wasn't exactly right for it. That titanium handle looks perfect. Congratulations!
