I just got back from vacation and it was a DE razor all the way. I still have my old Braun electric and it never crossed my mind to take it. Simpler - electric. Better - manual.

Many years ago (during the 80's), when I was traveling a lot, I thought an electric would be easier than carrying my brush and soap around. I didn't like it and the first thing I'd do when I got home was give myself a proper shave. I tried it again for a year when traveling in the early 2000's with a high-end electric -- same result. Even the best electric is a lousy, irritating shave and they're really impossible shaving my neck.

I tried several electric razors over the years and they always felt like they were ripping the hair out of my face.

 

Manual all day. Ive tried electric razors in the past and was not a fan.

 

My Neuropathy drove me back to carts, I dread the day it might drive me back to electrics. Never got a decent shave from either the buzz-bomb foil screen types or the weed-whacker rotaries and they both caused a lot of irritation.

 

Been down the electric avenue...no more.

I just met a guy today (in his 80's) who used this as his -preferred- razor for years. Now he shaves with a sneaker because of Uncle Arthur.

Ive had a couple of Electric Razors over the years, mostly gifts from my folks.
I would never ever let one touch my face again.
