I picked this up a while back at Country Joe's, and from the picture, thought it was a "full size" razor. Nonetheless, I am quite pleased with it's uniqueness and performance. There was blue paint in the ribs that came off when I cleaned it, and what I initially thought to be a deep scratch was actually the Feather logo. Inside the case... Putting the pieces together... A little perspective (In my hand, and next to my Bostonian case -- with added thumbprint!)... Despite it's diminutive size, this razor has nice heft, and provides a really great shave. I have absolutely no idea as to it's year of manufacture, but you'll notice that the head is patterned after the Gillette New Standard, which was an excellent design indeed. And this baby is portable to a fault, as it would be quite easy to conceal, and, unfortunately, lose.
You can bring a DE onto a plane. You just have to pack the blades in your checked baggage or pick them up wherever you go.
Wow. Now that's small. I have a Feather 3 piece travel razor that looks very similar. It's also small- but not that small.
interesting... I had never seen one of these until you posted it, but there were recently two on b&b BST from the same seller with cardboard shipper. I will have to keep my eyes open for another.
Interesting...He is calling his NOS, but the blue paint in the ribs is gone. Mine had paint when I first got it, but it came off after I soaked the case in Simple Green. Maybe some were made without the paint.
