Smart business move Shane...They both look great. You can't please everyone, but at least you found a solution. Nice job.
Now I want to see this combo: the black handle, the silver brushed baseplate with the black topcap I'll call it...The ZebraBird
Those combos actually look great! I think my personal favorite is now the black razor with silver baseplate.
Come get one! I'm entertaining the idea of allowing customers to piece together their favorite combination. Force my hand and be the first to do it.
Welcome! There's the whole backstory in the blog section of my site if you're interested in learning about getting to this point.
@Darkbulb, Can you do me a favor and quickly compare the corners of the blackbird to your weber? I remember the weber's corners being rather sharp at the points, and scratched my cheek once. Just curious...thanks.
I don't have a Weber, but your question made me curious so I did some unscientific testing by attacking my face with the corner of the base plate. It's pointy, but I couldn't break skin and I went at it really hard a few dozen times(cheek is kind of sore now).
Thanks Shane....That's kind of what I was expecting to hear. It looks a little pointy, but maybe not as bad as the weber. I appreciate the feedback and taking one for the team...lol
Sure thing see below. Even though the Blackbird has a sharpish edge I'd say it's near impossible to actually hurt/scrape yourself with it - especially if you angle the head along the shape of the head. Blackbird and Weber: Blackbird and Wolfman: Ikon B1, Weber, Blackbird and Wolfman:
Silly question? Does the handle on the BB offset? It looks offset, but it could be an optical illusion.
No just the odd angle/illusion that happens when you hold a camera-phone close to an object - it's 100% aligned and even
