@Redrock why don't you just pickup a whole puck with clean dry hands only and rub your face like a stick because is 1oo times easier that way.
Bowls are for soup, I like the economy of of face lathering and with the scuttle inbound, I'm certain warm lather will be mandatory. I have 3 bowls in my den that get rotated, depending on what I want the den to look like, I'll never use them.
Mostly face lather with soaps for me. Saves time in my opinion. I am more inclined to bowl lather if I use shave creams, but honestly, I decide when I begin the shave, and don't plan it out ahead of time. Black coffee is great! Has anyone tried the caffeinated shave cream from Pacific Shaving Company? I have not tried this yet, but it interests me.
I've used it. It is a decent, but definitely not great cream. I can't tell that the caffeine makes much of a difference.
Thanks Norcalnewb. I suspected it might just be average. Maybe I'll see it on clearance sometime and pick up a tube.
I'm a total face latherer. My first three wet shaves were with a bowl to build my lather, but after face lathering on my fourth, I never looked back. The way then brush has my hairs stand up and the how the soap covers everything with perfect protection sealed the deal. I was getting buttery smooth shaved every time. Hooray for face lathering!
