Fat Tuesday - Dedicated to Wool Fat Lovers

FAT TUESDAY it is. The poll clearly demonstrated the popularity of the title, "Fat Tuesday."

Based on the responses to the fat poll thread, there are some really dedicated MWF fans. Please get this started. While this is not an original idea, please post some pictures.

I look forward to your responses. Time to chew the FAT about the FAT!

 

I blew it.. This morning was a VDH day.

Glad to see MWF getting the love and I am looking forward to next Tuesday!

It would be great to hear from fat users with some new approaches to this great wetshaving product. Someone told me they load their brush with the fat and then swirl up with a Shea butter soap. According to this user, it offers the ultimate in skin care. I have not tried it, but it sounds pretty, pretty good in theory.

 

I used MWF in my new Moss Scuttle today-it was the best Fat lather I've ever seen/felt. And it was warm/hot!!!!!

 

I was recently PIF'ed a puck of MWF by Stingrays / Thanks Jeff. I wasn't really impressed by the scent of the soap. It just smelled sort of funky. I put it down for a week and came back to it last Sunday. I stopped noticing the scent when I whipped up a real nice lather that left my face feeling spectacular. I've been using it for the last three days so I can't really make an informed decision, but I've been liking it so far.

 

Smells like my grandmother's bathroom. That is 't a bad thing. It is just a clean scent. I don't love or hate the smell but the soap is pretty damn good.

 

I have still never tried MWF. Once I find a job, I am going to try it. It's number 1 on my list. So until I get some MWF, my Tuesday's will continue to be Tabac.

 

Big debate here... for what it is worth; I will take Tabac over MWF any day. MWF is nice, but Tabac for me is sooo much easier to lather.

I loved the mix of the Fat with the Menth! I am jumping on the Menth bandwagon!!!!!!!

Since I do not have MWF, I substituted my Fatboy to comply with the spirit of the day.

 

Love that spirit!!!! I have never tried an adjustable and was thinking about the Fatboy or Slim. I am presently using the EJ DE89l and the Merkur Slant Bar. What are your thoughts on Gillette adjustable razors, and which is a good one to begin with?

Happy you liked my stuff-especially the Osage. Did the Jack Black make for a smoother shave?
I am happy to lend you my Slim, Super Adjustable, or Fat Boy. I'd go with the Fat Boy since it has the shortest handle and you do not do well with long handles. Let me know and I'll arrange to get it to you.

 

The Osage was awesome! My face was freezing while walking to the train this morning! The Jack Black was very slippery. I didn't like shave oil when I tried them, but this was some really slick stuff, and it has eucalyptus, which resulted in a cool shave with the Fat. I would like to borrow the Fat Boy. I will send you a message outside of the forum. Thank you for all the stuff. BTW, the Astra Keramik was excellent, as it gave a smooth shave without any of that noticeable bite the Feather sometimes give.

 

I dont currently own any MWF but I did shave with an old puck of surrey which is a tallow soap. Thats got to count for something right.

 

We'll look forward to a fat-squared shave next week or so.
