Favorite Bay Rum?

Simple as that!
What's everyone's favorite Bay Rum scented soap out there? What do you like about it over other Bay Rum scents? Any to avoid?

Oh, and if you're on the Eastern seaboard, I hope you're staying warm and safe! We're buried in DC!

By far Dr.Jon's Anne Bonny, I love the black tea scent mixed in with it, bodes quite well with the bay rum scent.

 

I like Pyrate cove bay rum and ginger
and also
The Shave Den signature

 

Scent aside, how's the performance? I read it's not the most cushioning soap and that it's the makers intention as well. Glide over cushion.

 

Stirling bay rum is very good.

 

SRD india Bay is a great smelling glycerin soap. Performance is ok.

 

I bought Stirling bay rum back in December, but have not used it yet. Though I have yet to use it, the scent is fantastic! It's the only bay rum I have acquired to date.

 

Anne Bonny is currently one of my favorite soaps period so far. It lathers very well and provides plenty of cushion. YMMV though

 

I agree. The black tea in it is a great compliment to the bay rum. Performs great as well

 

+1 for anne bonny, I wouldn't say it lacks cushion. More in the middle of the road but if you want more cushion tsd line has it in spades. Other option is uber lather which I'm a fan of. Great post face feel with dr jons and tsd.

 

In my experience it has plenty of cushion. I have used straights and DE's both with it numerous times with great success. It has wonderfull cushiony protection.

 

Krampert's Acadian Spice Bay Rum. Not only a pleasant aroma, it is one of the best lathering soaps I have used.

 

Not a fan of the company but how to grow a mustache coconut bay is very good.

1) LASSC - Santa Monica Bay Rum
2) Mystic Water Bay Rum
3) PAA - Bay Rum(yeah I know not many may like this choice but it's a good soap)

 

Sounds awesome. I still have it on my wishlist It read the cushioning-thing in a Reddit-thread where the maker of the soap participated. Someone claimed cushion was not among the top, but still not bad, and the maker told people it was intended that way, so it was just a compliment to the product to him.

I can't find the thread right now. But of course, less cushion does not equal bad cushion.

I have both Stirling Bay Laurel A/S and Bay Rum Pre-Shave Oil and Captains Choice Bay Rum. A/S
They are both so close to me in scent it's hard to say. But I would say Captain's Choice is the one I use the most.
