Since this is a diversified and well read group, I'd like to ask what your favorite magazines are. Taste of Home Country & Extra Horse & Rider Cooks Illustrated
The Economist (although technically, they call it a newspaper). Hands down the best weekly news magazine you can receive.
Countryside & Small Stock Journal http://www.countrysidemag.com/ Spin Off & Handwoven from Interweave Press http://www.interweave.com/ Small Farmer's Journal http://www.smallfarmersjournal.com/ Rural Heritage http://www.ruralheritage.com/ oh yeah - the old stand bys: Reader's Digest Guideposts Rich, we were in Country Extra back in 2003 - it was the issue that gets delivered in late July
We get Readers Digest (my mother-in-law gives it to us every year...no idea why...we usually don't even open it), National Geographic, and Adoptive Parents. I've occassionally subscribed to other magazines, but found most of them to be of little value.
I'll have to check my stash and see if I still have it. We moved in November 2003 so it may have been a victim of the weeding out before move process. I hate that. 1 pile for keep, 1 pile for trash, 1 pile for donate and 1 pile for undecided. The trash pile seems to be the smallest and the undecided the largest.
let's see..... Sports Illustrated Car and Driver Motor Trend Time National Geographic Guns and Ammo Shooting and other Men magazines like FHM Maxim etc., Ok that covers sports, cars, guns, women and some news...yep that's it. Raf
Esquire GQ Sunset Magazine (Western States) Tattoo Tattoo Artist Inked Mental Floss Islands Travel & Leisure ...to name a few.
New Mexico http://www.nmmagazine.com/ magazine (like Arizona Highways, only older and better!) Smithsonian is good also. The Sporting News
Only two for me: Uncut -- a British Music magazine Science -- the official journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science
I am not much of a magazine person, but when I get them, I buy the log home magazines... I buy them probably for the same reason most gents buy playboy tho, for the articles... I like to drool over the articles.... I like Architectual Digest also... um, for the articles...
True West Wild West Blade Knives Illustrated American Woodworker and the rest of them WWII Newsmax National Review Rush's newsletter
Oh yeah, and one of my favorites, and online magazine (or more accurately, a journal)...the Patriot Post. http://www.patriotpost.us
Hey, is New Mexico mag still running the "One of our fifty is missing" column? My dad is originally from NM and he used to read that magazine off and on. I always loved the "One of our fifty is missing". The only one I remember now was something years back about a guy from NM trying to get Olympic tickets and the US Olympic coordinator kept telling them they'd have to contact their national coordinator not the US one... :rofl
Adam, yup, they still run that one. It is hilarious. I wasn't old enough to shave when we moved away from NM, but I'll bet if I moved back, I'd have all kinds of fun with some of these shaving suppliers and "customs."
Military History National Review The American Spectator(their Books for Christmas list is great) The Sporting News All of these are occasional purchases, not subscriptions.
