I love variety of fragrance. I also like bargains, and I don't think you have to drop major $$$ to smell good. What are some bargain fragrances that you enjoy? $50 is a totally arbitrary number that I pulled out of thin air based on the top money I would usually consider spending. A few bargains I enjoy (most of which can be had under $30): Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Mr. Blass by Bill Blass L'Occitane Eau De Baux Original Penguin by Munsingwear Mahogany Wood by Bath and Body Works Midnight In Paris Aramis Havana Puros by RazoRock (technically an aftershave but I get crazy longevity from it) Stetson Aspen Thallium (very synthetic but my wife loves it in cool weather) Burberry London Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
They are definitely high on my list to try. I am hoping to score some for Christmas. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Anything by Pinaud. I prefer Pinaud Clubman, virgin island bay rum, lilac vegetal, and special reserve.
Brut. My wife says it makes me smell like me. Curve. Another favorite of my wife. When it come to scents of aftershave and cologne, we both have to like it.
I went to a Bath and Body Works today to specifically check out the C.O. Bigelow colognes I read about. At this particular store, they had I think four fragrances. While I didn't dislike any of them, none of them grabbed my attention either. I noticed a display of store brand colognes next to them. The Teakwood, Bourbon, Noir and Vanilla Birch were wow scents to me. At $34.50/bottle, with buy two get one free, I thought they were great values. That being said, they are well above the price of any after shave I have. Waaaay above. But I've been wanting to pick up some colognes too. I did not purchase any of those today. I would really love to try some from here at TSD, but who is familiar with the B and BW colognes to share info and opinions on?
B&BW fragrances are hit and miss with me. I really liked the Mahogany Woods and Whitewater (I think that was the name). I tested some of the current crop and none really stood out to me. Of the CO Bigelow scents, I like Green. It has an old school barbershop scent to me, somewhat in the general vein of Aspen, but a bit more bright. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Yeah, I like Brut. The antiperspirant/ deodorant is all I use. The soap is TSD Brut Type - @Queen of Blades nailed the scent! This morning's shave...
That's a very manly shave, Steve! Too bad it wasn't Saturday, because the only think that could have made that more manly would have been shaving with a straight!
Mr Blass Bill Blass Vetiver Guerlain (maybe just above $50) Tabac Fahrenheit (maybe just above $50) Cool Water Davidoff
Clubman A.S.(Original and Special Reserve) Stirling Barbershop Soap Leather(the ones under $50, that is). my list should increase with the passage of time.
