Great shave this morning, as it should be with a collection of favourites. Love the scent and performance of this soap, and got a great face-lather this morning. Hadn’t used the NEW in a few months, and was reminded again this morning why it is a favourite. Nacets are top tier for me as well.3 passes and a little neck touch up later and I am completely smooth. Finished with another favourite- the Unconditional Surrender. I am really looking forward to this month.
    Have a great day all!

Indeed. There are lots of rabbit holes to go down.

Being a face latherer myself, if you will, give me a brush 101 on shapes and sizes. Fans or bulbs? Best size (for you), etc., etc.

I started DE shaving with Micro One Touch. After butchering my face for a couple weeks, I broke down and read a few articles. Shaves immediately improved. Then, my mom gave me a long handled Black Beauty that belonged to her dad. That was enough. I had to have all of them. I found the heavier, the better to my shave. Unfortunately, the price goes up with the weight.

I didn't get in to 3 piece razors until fairly recently. When I got my Timeless 95 OC, I was hooked. I want them all, too. Haha.

I hope that 4 straight shaves with the WSP Rustic Sandalwood will FINALLY produce suds. (That one will probably come around in the next two or three weeks).

How is the agressiveness of the NEW LC compared to say, a Gillette Adjustable?

    What is TGN?

I think I am going to forgo my "clean gear" OCD and put this razor up wet. Wiping it down doesn't allow the bronze to age. It will be hard to do but I'ma try.

Stirling tub is still being assaulted with great vigor...I think I've made it about a 1/3 of the way through it.

Standard 2 pass shave. The new OC baseplate is pretty darn comfy. It's very efficient as well. I'm digging it.

That is an all star lineup for sure. In my opinion the New is one of the best vintage razors made.

Wow don't recall seeing that brush before. Gorgeous.

Great looking lineup. The Timeless Bronze is a real looker. How does it compare to the SS 0.95mm?

TGN is The Golden Nib. Supplier of pen and wetshaving projects (blanks as well as knots). Good supplier of knots. Their High Mountain White is quite well-known, I believe. This is a 24mm Finest Badger in a fan. Very nice knot. I also have a plisson-style synthetic from them which is fine and a 24mm boar which I just ripped out of a handle as I don't like its lack of loft as compared to an Omega. Others may disagree.
I'm probably not the best person to ask for a comparison of the NEW LC to Gillette Adjustables as I don't own a Fatboy or Slim. My two Gillette Adjustables are Black Beauties, one long-handled and one short. I'd say that the NEW LC is probably equivalent to my BB on 5 or 6. I'd call it a 'medium' in terms of aggression. In comparison to other Gillette 3 pieces, I believe my thin cap Old Type is a little more aggressive. The pre-war triangle slotted Tech is a little less aggressive, and the post war Techs are definitely less aggressive than that. Hope that helps.

No guess on the bonus round, but I agree with you about Stirling definitely belonging in a 'favourites' month.
I haven't owned my GEM Jr long enough to put in a favourites month yet, Jim, but I can definitely see why you love it. Great photo, btw.
Once again you've inspired me, Perry. I've got to break out some Soap Commander this weekend, as it definitely needs to make a few appearances this month.
Great picture of beautiful gear again, Clint.
