The 37C is my only experience with a slant. It's ok. I don't have it any longer. I traded it. I figured that I can get the same results using the Gillette slide.
The Fine was developed as a clone of the old Merkur bakelite which has long been out of production and has been coveted by many wet shavers. The Fine may be plastic but it is very well made - some kind of coating, metallic screws, and you could switch out the handle if the weight is a problem. For $30, a great shaver.
