I need some of that 007 Fragrance. I felt like James Bond on Thursday driving to work. I was a quarter mile from my exit and a large truck in front of me had a lot of loose lumber and other building materials. A long 2 by 4 flew out of the truck heading dead center of my windshield. My body took over, instantly I swerved sharply onto the shoulder and then back onto the highway. When I arrived at work, I told my co-workers, I felt like James Bond being chased in the French Riviera.
The glass flagon in dark blue is inspired by the magnum meshing texture found on an array of Bond’s cars. The silver ‘twist’ cap which reveals the fragrance nozzle is a nod to Bond’s array of gadgets and the 007 logo is subtly embossed on the front of the flagon. If the 007 logo is "subtle," I would really hate to see what they consider "obvious." The magnum meshing texture reminds me of those silver colored studs you see on those fake leather "punk rocker" belts at Hot Topic. The fragrance itself sounds very interesting though.
The original 007 cologne (they also had aftershave and deodorant). Made by Colgate-Palmolive in 1965.
Flash back!! A number of years ago going on a fishing trip with 3 other guys . I was following an 18 wheeler who last set or tires on the driver side picked up a 2 by 4 about 2ft long off the road Between Them and shot it back at me. I and the front seat passenger saw it coming dead on for my head. Same instant thought "We're Dead". Don't know how but it glanced off the window right in front of me with out leaving a scratch!!
Deja-Vu....I bought this Cologne and AS gift set for my Pop for Christmas the year it came out....And he acted so cool and appreciative....I don't think he ever used it though......He had Floris no.89 and some Guarlains...and of course Old Spice was his daily go-to... His stuff was much hipper, though I'd love to have the 007 stuff now for conversation... DLP....Hey man...at the risk of hi-jacking...love your avatar....That razor is a diffinant 'Holy-Grail"...I think that model proves that Schick Injectors do hold the same romantic and exciting vibes as DE's...My Pop shaved with a Black Handled Red Boxed model during all of WWII and up until 1955, when he retired that old friend and got a Hydro-magic...He was a staunch Schick man the rest of his life because of that brilliant razor....... Congrats...
