Here's a couple rarely seen DE razors -- chrome-plated heads and what a dramatic slant on that one.

I had an uncased one of these slants recently that had a little damage to the head. This one is perfect. Although the metal Apollos all have problems with their thin plating holding up. Unfortunately.

Nice heft and fairly decent blade exposure.

Very attractive -- and I think this company & model morphed into Merkur.

    And the Apollo bakelite slant:

Great weight & balance for a bakelite razor, and a very effective shaver.

Thanks Jake, I am going to try my slant in the morning and the heft of the Eclipse in the first picture must be substantial. The design and fit of the head is impressive in the pictures.:happy096

Handsome razors, especially the last one.

Wish I'd checked this thread before asking for pics of chrome plating. That first one's the best shot I've yet seen.

I'd love to see Merkur make their new Bakelite razor in a slant.
Those are some nice Apollos you have.

Very nice! I particularly like the squarish handle; it looks like it would be far easier to grip.
