HaHa, Reminds me of a couple of months ago I was at a local DAV helping them clean their Parade Rifles and one of the oldsters "older than me" claimed the powder residue and cleaning solvent made a grease lubing the action and the rifle needed no further cleaning. I didn't argue, just wondered if he used that reasoning during basic training. Now back to the razors.
Here?! You mean help saving your money, or spending it. :signs136 :think002 Never thought of it that way.
I've found that to be totally true. On a more than a few occasions, Some flea market Super speeds I've picked up that looked just disgusting, turned out to look almost new after a few boiling H2o baking soda soaks, scrubbing bubbles and a lite polishing. There's treasure to be found under that crud.
I bought a old 1948 - 49 Gillette super speed for a $1.00 at a garage sale and it was in horrible condition! I boiled it in vinegar and water and scrub it with a toothbrush and now it looks new!!
