What a fantastic razor. And the restoration looks perfect, but...

That much money paid and it's going to stored in a case and looked at occasionally?
Isn't that sort of like courting the worlds most beautiful woman for 5 years, (very expensive)
finally marrying her,(even more expensive) and then deciding she is so beautiful that you'll
    not touch her?

    I just don't get it...

Certainly a fantastic razor though! :)

The restoration came out "BEAUTIFUL" Glenn!! It will look fantastic in your collection. Your friend does really nice work.:) That said I'd have to shave with that puppy at least once or twice..:happy108:

That is truly a score and the restoration is sublime.

    I'd use it.

Not similar at all! In 50 years, that razor will still be smoking hot! :D

Great find and a beautiful restoration, looks wonderfull. I thint it would be a shame not to use it at least a few times.

I have measured the blade gap on this razor. At its midpoint (setting "3") it is .020". The comparable setting for a Fatboy is .032" so I know it is a mild shaver. Also the head is big so it will be tough to use tight under the nose. So I kind of know how it will shave already.

This is one fine-looking razor, Glenn! Enjoy in good health! :happy096:

I just got a rotating display stand for it. Too gimicky?

I don't think that you went far enough. It needs to be under glass too, like Tut's burial mask. I see a pedestal centered in the living room with really tight spots shining from three different angles...
