He referred to 67 camaros and Firebirds in general...growing up my aunt had a firebird I liked, loved the firebird hood logo.

OK, I'll bring it back around: Were this rumor to be true, the reissues would likely be shadows of the original much like the later Firebirds pale compared to the original. Now would some folks flock to the imposter? No doubt! It might even inspire some cheesy movies. But it will never have the panache of the orginal.
