Gillette Goodwill - more than one type of handle?

I have a Gillette Goodwill with the "bar handle", but the only pics I can find in old ads, etc. have the ball end type. I'm wondering if someone just stuck this handle on it, or if some of the Goodwills came with bar handles. Anyone know?

No clue but a pic might help.

Achim has the most variations on the Goodwill theme that I have seen in one place.

Everyone I have seen including mine have the 1920's ball type handle.

The Goodwill was a low cost attempt by Gillette to get all the older style handles out with "New" heads that could accommodate the old blade style and the new Probak design, or cleaning house the fancier versions of the three hole models with attempts to modify to accept the "New" or "Probak" style blades.

The "Bar" style handles came out a couple of years later around 1933 or 1934. Here is an example of a "Bar" handle.

If yours has a Goodwill head on a handle like the one above, then it is not a correct to type razor.

But, the bar handle could be a legit /original owner replacement since the old type ball handles tended to split.

True, but it would not be "OEM." The cracked handle syndrome is why we get to have so many good OC heads to use on custom handles! :bounce017: :bounce017: :bounce017:
