Gillette Silver Blue

I've been testing different DE razor blades and I'm going on to shave number 2 with the Gillette Silver Blue!

What are your thoughts on GSB?

 

GSB is one of my top three blades, the others being Nacet and Polsiver. I find they cut well, are fairly smooth, and I don't get any irritation if I use a decent soap.

GSB is my blade of choice for my NEW SC. I shave every day, Sunday through Friday. This combo is a stubble assassin!

 

They are a very good blade. The GSB's were my first 100 blade purchase.

 

Love them, one of my top two blades.

 

Silver Blues are one of my top three blades.

 

Silver Blues are my preferred blade. Probably sharper than Feathers but much smoother.

 

Never tried them. May not ever try them, considering how many other blades I need to try out.

 

It's a top blade for me. It is considered one of the sharpest blades you can buy (along with feather), but it is smoother.

If I could just use one blade Only...a GSB would be it.

 

As I've stated previously, I use the GSB in my NEW SC. It is also my baseline blade when I audition blades for a new razor.

A very good blade, similar to the Astra SP.

 

I can get 3 smooth shaves out of one before the blade stars feeling rough. I like them.

Blade auditions begin tomorrow morning for my Gillette 1911 OLD. As my baseline blade GSB's are up first.

 

Its a great blade. Theyre not quite Feather sharp but theyre easily comparable to a Kai or Personna Blue.

 

I did a blade trial a couple of years ago with half a dozen different blades and GSB was crowned "King of Blades". GSB even beat Astra SP. Yes, shocking, I know.

 

Silver Blue audition continues with a fantastic BBS this morning!

 

Not shocking at all. I like GSBs but can't stand Astra.

 

I have a tuck or two left. I need to revisit these with my Krona. I remember them giving a close comfortable shave. But my technique has improved since then.

Probably even better now that your technique has gotten better!
