    Nice pics of some nice razors! The New is my favorite non-adjustable, but they all shave great. Enjoy.

    That is another lovely addition to the stable.
    What did you do to bring them to such a fantastic lookin state?
    Is it true that the "new" term simply means that it takes the usual de blade?

    Excellent razors. I've got two NEW" Gillette's. They're my favorites.

    The Gillette "NEW" is the model that came out in 1931, the first (I've read) to be designed for the new thinner DE blades. It uses a bar to hold the blade in place, rather than the two studs, and so the older blades wouldn't fit. The coat-hanger shape works very well with the open-comb design. One of my favorite razors.
