As always, another day closer! The latest and greatest upcoming Theme Week is Grab the Gold Week, running from Monday, Dec 5th, to Sunday, Dec 11th. I originally had it down for folks to use a gold razor all week, but I got to thinking about it and I decided I wanted to be able to include as many folks as possible. Not everyone has a gold razor. So, yes, this is still Grab the Gold week, however, with a twist. You know all those "What's your favorite ______?" or, "If stranded on a desert island and could only have one..."? Well here's the week to let everyone know what your "GOLDEN" shave items are. What's your favorite ______? If you could only have one ____? Share what you have. We all love to see the pics. I know many folks rotate through their items, but use this week to pamper yourself with your all-time, all-star, grade-A, top notch, numero uno, absolute bestest, most favoritest ______. Have fun!
A year ago it would have been easy to say what my favorite was, now I am struggling. I will have to work on this. Etoyoc is right, it might have been simpler if I just stick with gold razors.

Monday (forgot to post yesterday) Loaded up my Merkur 34G with an Astra SP. Super shave. In the CD player ~ Blues GOLD cd 2, various contemporary artists --------------------------- Tuesday Though no gold colored items, I did use a few "golden" items - my Merkur Futur with the above mentioned Astra SP blade, along with some wonderful Tabac lather gave an outstanding shave. Finished listening to the last half of cd 2 of Blues GOLD.
I got a Gold Futur myself hoping to use it this week, unfortunately its a victim of Merkur's horrible QC, working with John to see if I'm gonna exchange it or just get a refund; such a shame since Futur's are awesome in concept.

Tuesday Shave Gold HD Lord Blade Omega Boar VDH Glycerin Soap Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel I have always seen VDH Deluxe and Select in bricks and mortar stores but never Glycerin until yesterday, visiting a supermarket surprised to to see it so snagged 2 pucks for $2 each. I used to use it to superlather but on its own today it was great , nice comfortable shave .
Had a gold Sheraton in my hand, and Blues GOLD in the CD player. The TSD Cedarwood soap came from my gold mine of TSD soaps.
its time to change my blade. I think that it is time to get the Sheraton involved. Thanks for the suggestion!
