Greaves & Sons Wedge - Faux Ivory

    Here is an old Sheffield razor from William Greaves & Sons, Sheaf Works (1823-1850) that needed some general blade clean-up and new pins and scales.

    FINISHED: The carbon steel blade is an 11/16" wide wedge. The scales are 'faux ivory.' the end wedge is gold & rust acrylic. solid brass pins and single brass washers and inner brass bearing washers.

    Wow. Something about a simple white set of scales. Is the faux ivory acrylic, or a different kind of material?
