Greaves Vintage Restore

    This was a Vintage Restore, we had to make a decision on this because of the HEAVY hone wear..

    It could have been a complete Re-Grind or keep the Heavy steel intact and hone with tape...
    Myself I have always thought of a Re-grind as a last resort since once that beautiful Sheffield steel is gone it is gone forever :(
    @Norcalnewb decided the same and we ended up with a nice sweet Coticule edge after it was all said and done :)
    The Horn scales were soaked in Neatsfoot oil for a few days then polished back up, this of course created another set of issues :) I had to file away at the "wedge" since the conditioning swelled the old horn enough to make it hit the point of the razor :p
    Working through the issues is part of the fun hehehe
