Starting from scratch I'd say. I have 2 teens I spend a lot of time hauling around and work days so shaving has been pretty much get it done and out the door. However, when there is time, I want to be able to treat myself to a finer shave and know how to do it well. I don't have one yet. Still looking around. Bouncing between getting something of quality that is good to learn with and getting an heirloom, keepsake. I think I will get a good razor to learn with and look for a keepsake later.
What I hope becomes a restore/learning project one day. https://www.facebook.com/Jim504/posts/689886914530676?pnref=story The blade may be too far gone. But maybe not. Either way, it can learn something about restoring metal and honing. My dad use to collect these things and gave me this one years ago.
