I just came to pick up a case for my brothers Milord and saw this. Nice patina. In the last pic you can see it looks like the left end tooth may be bent down a hair
Should be fine, don't try to straighten it without annealing it first, I would just leave it. Show the bend to the seller and offer $15.00.
They accepted 15.00 I was mistaken it was actually marked 28.00. Can I use Flitz paste on it? Thanks for all of your input, guys!
Yep, flitz it up, use it. I've a few that are characterized that way. As long as you love em, who cares if they're not text book pieces.
Just got home. Its pouring here and I had to stop at the grocery store. I will work on it later this evening. I will most certainly post pics!
I actually prefer this to the original gold. Not a big fan of gold razors in general. I do like the 40s and 50s Milords
I'm not a fan of plating! It's completely unnecessary on a brass razor, and sooner or later you're gonna have problems with it.
Here is what I have done so far. I haven't gotten to the teeth yet. Probably save that for tomorrow. This is just Flitz, cotton swabs, and a lint free cotton cloth.
