    Hi guys,
    this is my newest acquisition

    The box made of aluminum
Marks on the box are like on the plastic Eclipse James Neill boxes - like in Red Ring
But I haven't seen such box anywhere in the net
The razor inside fits the box perfectly
Looks like a brass or bronze
Similar to Red Ring but a little bit smaller and less details
No marks on the razor (no Eclipse or Red Ring engraved)
The head looks very similar like Red Ring - pins are in baseplate and holes are in the cap
    2-part - like Red Ring
The baseplate looks very similar to Red Ring - very specific combs
Bottom knob - like in Red Ring
If it's not made by Eclipse - then the person who made have devoted a LOT of work

    Anyone? Anything?

    Pretty rough, factory prototype maybe?

Looks like a red ring to me.

    Maybe just an early example.

Looks rough, both the razor and case, final finishing and plating never done. The Bakelite case was probably cheaper and easier to make than that aluminum (or zink alloy) one was.

    Sticking with the prototype idea.

Looks like the hinge was never installed on the case.

    Thanks guys! :)
I was very intrigued when I have seen it. So I needed to buy it.
It was listed on auction from ~$6 with the buy it now price at ~$30.
    I couldn't resist and risk waiting :)

I will try to dig more.
And probably some day I will try it - the main obstacle is that this one is ~300th razor in my collection :)
And I would like to try and test ~90% of them. So it take years, many years.
