Hopefully, her docs have some tips on getting her past all that and moving again. I imagine the first few "practice runs" will be the worst. Maybe some physical therapy or massage?? Either way, hang in there and I hope it goes as smoothly as possible.
I remember having a cast removed from my hand, and being surprised at how much it hurt when I just tried to move my fingers..... God Bless Her.....I do remember, for me it wasn't long before things stopped hurting...I hope her recovery time will be very quick aswell....
Yep, doc said "here's a prescription for Lortab. Keep her legs in the same position as they were in the cast." And that was after the cast came off. No "this is what to expect" before removing the cast. She has had PT every week usually, since she was 11 months old.
I've noticed that despite television shows about doctors, hospitals, and ER's portraying doctors as sweet, caring, and kind individuals, the best doctors tend to have the same bedside manner as Dr. Gregory House. Which is to say, a non-existent bedside manner.
I hope all goes well for her! I'm sorry she is scared. Being in her shoes I think I would be too. I'm sure I can speak for everyone in saying that we're all rooting for her!
Hey MoM me and wifey were just wondering how your daughter is holding up a week later I hope things are starting to get a little better
Wow! I just saw this thread. This was a very touching thread and it goes to show that TSD is family and there for each other in good and tough times. Hope all is well with her recovery as I know it's been some time ago. Glad you got to keep your razor too!
