Hi everyone. My name is Christian and I'm from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I've never tried DE razors as I have mild partial epilepsy and am scared I may cut myself if I have a twitch, but I got into vintage razors when Gillette's cartridge prices got so ridiculous. I'll admit I liked the Fusion Flexball when it was given to me as a gift but there was no way I was going to pay that much for carts after I ran out of the first 4 included with the handle. I currently alternate between my vintage Gillette Atra and the Mach 3.
Welcome @LSUfanBR! Carts or DE, your technique will definitely improve now that you're here. There are plenty of AD's to choose from! Enjoy your shaves!
Welcome to the den. Start out with a mild razor if you're concerned about the possibility of cutting yourself. While you may not have total control just relax and take your time. This method of shaving is actually relaxing.
Welcome to the Shaving Den. There are a lot of really mild razors that might be perfect for you. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
to TSD @LSUfanBR I hope you enjoy it here, a lot of friendly folks and really good information. I'm from Louisiana myself. Have you ever heard of arm stropping? Some say it doesn't work some say it does. I'm in the it does camp. Either way it's easy and cheap to do and can give you much more blade life from your cart. Check it out.
Welcome Christian @LSUfanBR! Glad you joined us here at TSD. Plenty of folks here choose to use carts to shave. If or when you decide to try something new to you ask question. Sure to get opinions, advice, even actual information from our crew. Wishing you great shaves from Lake Charles, Rick.
