Walked into a place called Hidden Treasures today just to look around. It's in a barn in the side of a road, during the weekends it's turned into the Bargin Barn where people open up little shops. It was colder in the place than it was outside. I looked around hoping to come across some thing shaving related for decoration or restoration later. Only thing I found in the place was this Her old strop. I thought it was cool so I picked it up, wasn't hatefully priced. Might try to clean it up down the road. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
Nice Wild Find! Adam @Drygulch posted instructions on restoring old leather strops recently. That one looks like it might either be refreshed, or the leather replaced. Guessing the handle unscrews to reveal the overlapped ends?
The over lapping ends are actually held on by a plate on the opposite end of the handle. Was thinking about possibly putting new leather on it. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
