My wife is spending the night with her mom at her grandmothers house in Watsonville Ca. I'll be making dinner for an 18 year old, wish me luck!
So... Things have gotten worse. 1) Lady Dapper exited my life and left me with Dapper Jr. 2) I lost my job 3) I have no car (will be fixed soon) 4) My brother admitted he is a heroin addict (he's my twin) 5) My dad almot had a heart attack 6) My brother entered rehab and he's been my only support through my situation It's been a wild 3 ½ weeks my friends.
Dapper-in-a-can-man I was feeling bad about losing the Draw for straight razor and having a sinus infection for 4 months. Man did your experience set me straight. I certainly feel for ya man. I'm a twin also, identical they say. My brother and I are two polar opposites. I could never expect support from my brother. Sure hope things turn around for you.
I've been there and am currently in a rough rough patch also. Been out of work going on 2 1/2 years due to diabetes and other medical conditions. Drove a truck all my life and I'm now unable to. When you can't feel your feet well, even walking is a challenge, much less driving an 40 ton truck. These are the times that set us apart from others and distinguish us from those that have much but are morally broke. They try our very will to survive. Just remember your setting as example for your little one in what is truly important and how honesty and fortitude are what makes a man. Stand Tall my friend you have friends here in the den
Another way to look at some of that is that your Dad didn't have a heart attack, you're going to have a car soon and your brother is in rehab getting the help he needs. But, I hope things turn around for you and your family.
I just got back from the orthopedist. As we suspected, I will need orthosscopic surgeery. I am really not upset about this because: 1. I had this procedure on my other knee and got good results. 2. I do not need knee replacement. I do just want it overwith, so I can start to heal. So, to those of you who are having hard times, please know that I am not complaining, and thaat I am praying for your fortunes to improve.
Chris, I almost cut the tip of my left index finger off, luckily I only have a small slice. Next time I'll take the Velveeta cheese out of the box..
In the brief time I've participated here, I've read about the experiences of several members who have lost loved ones, lost jobs, lost spouses, lost good friends, lost hope of being able to find a way out of loss. I know how hard this must be for you. If there was a way for me to change things, I would do that for you. Thinking positively and trying to remain optimistic can be difficult in those situations, and modern culture does not allow people very much time to process and grieve. The only thing I know to do is let you know I am trying to listen and that I hope this next month brings you more joy than pain.
