Can you believe it's July already? It's been very hot here in the Bay Area, sleeping with the AC on all night will cost me a fortune.
Apparently the eh' is still alive and well and living in Canada..and hockey and Canadian bacon too eh..https://www.ipsos-na.com/news-polls/pressrelease.aspx?id=6901
I work in Portland. I do believe my employer plans to start a random drug testing program this month. I didn't see anyone show up for work today looking...ah...unwell.
If it weren't for the high 90's temps we're having, I'd say this weekend will likely be the best Blues Festival we've had.
Had to put a new window unit in my bedroom this week. Apparently, the old one had been leaking for an extended time, unbeknownst to me and ruining the pile of stuff I had sitting in the floor in front of it. Didn't realize it until I went to get in bed the other night and the floor was soaking wet. Good times. In other news, we get tomorrow off, the missus and I are going to a big cat reserve to see the tigers. That should be cool. Still loving the new job! Actually like going to work these days. And I stay pretty busy. It's rather fulfilling. Also, I've recently discovered a new (to me) musical genre: "vaporwave" It originally started out as sort of a joke, but it's become something of a serious genre. It's quite nostalgic for this child of the 80's.
Tim Horton's opened a shop here on Staten Island. So my Canadian-born hubby & I celebrated Canada Day by having a snack there. Also by joking about our ages & singing the anthem of his homeland; "O Pangea".
FYI, when Tim Horton's was bought out recently they changed coffee supplies. McDonald's picked up their supplier, and now McDonald's has good coffee.
