Greetings, Happy Friday to everyone, and I hope everyone has a great weekend. I have hemmed and hawed over my decision to buy a DE razor. I told myself that I would not buy off EBay. That want by the wayside. I begin to rationalize that I could get a decent used DE for less than a new one. One DE used lead to two being bought. I am now a proud owner of a Gillette "55" Flair Tip and a "60" Fat Boy. There are both in super great condition. I blame you guys for this :happy102 just kidding. Everyone has been great about helping me with my decision, thanks. Now any thoughts on blades for a beginner. I still want to get a new Edwin Jagger DE later on down the road. It begins now huh? Again thanks for your input.
:sihns011 As far as blades go, you need to find the one that is best for you, and to that end I recommend a Blade Sampler Pack.
I second what Bill said...I also second what Sparky says...Go to the Shave Den Store and put your own sampler pack together...besure to try some: Derbys, and Astras, two of my favorites...also Feathers are great especially in SS's and Fatboys...I personally think the Derbys are great for getting your chops together...then try as many as you can... Congratulations on the SS and the Fatboy...You certainly can't go wrong with either one of those...) Let us know how it's coming together...
Congratulations! +1 on the blade sample pack. In my experience, blades are the most personal item in wet shaving.
