I have never heard of it before now, and have never tried it. Looking on Pannacrema's website, I don't think I ever will. At $65.00, it is way too expensive even if it is stellar.
Sam, what do you have now? Are you after slick? A soft post shave face feel? And at $65.00 a pop you may want to work with some other soaps first. Just my .02.
I'm with the penguin fryer ... just as good, and possibly even better, soaps can be had for waaay less.
Agreement twice in the same week! Just don't get the idea we're gonna be taking warm showers together to the wee hours of the morning.
For that kind of money, why don't you buy yourself: 1- Stirling Soap Company 1-Route 66 1-Soap Commander 1-Barrister and Mann
There was a pass around of the three Nuavia scents on B&B. Not sure if it is still going on but you'll get a lot of comments on both sides from people that have used the soap. I bought both the Rossa and Blu used on another forum's BST. The prior owner used each a couple of times and didn't care for the scent. The Nuavia soaps are a luxury item for sure. The container is ceramic that look great setting on the counter and are sized for easy use. The soap base is very good with very good post shave feel. The scents however are truly something special being complex and long lasting. I prefer the Rossa to the Blu but many are just the opposite. The big question is would I buy them again. If refills were sold, I could see purchasing them again. However, I am not prepared to purchase the complete package with another ceramic container. I do want to try the maker's less expensive line of soaps. For luxury soap experience I prefer MdC. In my experience MdC lasts such a long time that it is one of the most economical soaps I have used.
I have owned and sold Nuavia blu. It's a pretty decent soap in a nice container. I like Mike's, Stirling, L&L, and Grooming Dept. better and they cost a whole lot less. If you're looking for vegan I do recommend giving Grooming Dept. a chance.
I own and use sometimes «Nuavia Blu». Living in Italy, I paid it a bit less than an overseas customer but it still too expensive. Like too many other soaps, to be frank... Its scent is outstanding and it is the real (according to the producer) reason of its high cost. The fragrance has been made in Grasse (France). In Italy a lot of customers have requested a simple refill like the old Saponificio Varesino one, but producer has wrote that it is impossible to drain the hot soap inside a plastic container. Ceramic pot is not the main reason of soap high price. All Nuavia (Blu, Rossa and Verde - Blue, Red and Green) have the same base soap, the only difference is the scent. I will buy it again? No, too expensive. But it is a very good soap. Anyway, if you can afford it, buy it.
