I'm hoping one of you kind Gentleman will be able to help ID an Open Comb DE I recently
    purchased at a swap meet:

I can't find any markings on it at all...
I also got a Schick Krona that cleaned up really nice!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

It looks like it is patterned on a 20s style Old Type open comb. No markings, no other idea. How does it shave?
Congrats on the Krona. Nice find.

I will be trying it soon!
Also got an Erskine brush for $5 I forgot to mention, it's in great shape. Just have to research how to clean and bring it into the routine.

My best guess is a European made razor from the 40's-50's.
Sadly with no markings it is very hard to correctly identify it as so many razors were being made around that time - and many were just copies of more established razors.
From a purely monetary perspective the lack of markings and condition does hurt it quite a bit - but if you intend to use it and like how it shaves then all of that is secondary and you may well have a winner :)

I kind of thought it might be an "Acme Shave Co." type DE...went through a lot of Google pics trying to ID
the handle. Looking forward to using it!

:happy096: Nice score!! I can't help you with an identification, but it sure is a nice looking OC. Looks like it's in real good shape. :happy088:

Held my breath and shaved with this bad boy this morning...being a newbie, I wasn't sure how aggresive this the razor would be.
My technique must be okay, no cuts or nicks at all! Very nice shave with Feather razors!
    Love this thing!
Tomorrow, it's the new (to me) Schick Krona.

It's impossible for anyone to say for sure, but — based on my own generic copy of a Gillette Old — I suspect your find is a mild shaver. I'm glad it worked out so well for you.

Tomorrow should be a treat for you, though. The Krona is an excellent mild shaver and my favorite TTO... though I prefer 3-piece razors. ;)

Good on yer for two great finds. Keep us updated on how you like the Krona!

I was hoping it was my technique, but I think you're right about it being a mild shave.
The open combs were intimidating and it seemed like more blade was exposed than my other DE's...
I was expecting to cut the beegeebers out of myself, probably that frame of mind made me a bit cautious and saved my face!
Looking forward to the Krona in the AM!
When I was lurking on this forum, i was jealous of you folks having more than one DE in rotation.
Now I am in that fortunate club!

Shaved with the Schick Krona this morning, what a slice of fried gold!
Very smooth shave. I can see why it's one of your favorites.:)
