These Gillette Blades are Fine..But..They are Not Near as Nice, Sharp or Smooth as the Japanese Schick Blades..They are Not Up there with NOS Schick Twins or NOS Personna Twins Either..Gillette Twins were Copied & Superseded Quite Quickly after their Release in 71..:)

I think the micromatics are highly underrated....Those that know, do love them, but too many just say, "too aggressive" and file them away...I have never gotten a bad shave from one...I find them to be VERY user friendly and it sounds like you do aswell...Welcome to the Micromatic brotherhood!

So I have bought a few razors (Kai and Feathers) from this E bay seller in Japan, and have gotten some pretty darn good deals. (Dickering on Make an Offer listings) The other day, he sends me an e-mail telling me to let him know if I need any Japanese stuff; that he can get anything, even if he doesn't have it listed.

Are any of you guys interested in my seeing what he could do on a big lot of Twins? I don't have any use for them really, but I would be happy to try and set up a group buy if enough of you are interested.

Tried out the second razor of my multi buy. Much more satisfactory, an excellent Shave from a nice cased PAL injecto-Matic with a fresh Schick blade , shaves just as well as the purple handled one.

Sounds like a good idea, Shame I am in UK, though I have a little stache. They are very good, work well in the Schick adjustable and better in the likes of the I1 & N.

Razor: Supply Provision Custom 2 dot head
    Blade: Chick
    Brush: RazoRock Tri-color
    Soap: B&M Roam
    Post Care: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Osage Rub
    Alum
    Aftershave: B&M Roam

Birthday shave! I've been saving the samples I was generously given by @youngunn for this morning's shave. I've wanted to try Roam for quite a while now and finally got my hands on some samples. I now understand. The scent is amazing with the typical B&M quality. I got a smoky, pine tar and vanilla scent from the soap. The AS is more smoke with earth, grass and herbs. Hard to describe but wonderful. My search for full sized products goes forth.

I've been wet shaving almost exactly a year now. I would have never thought something I used to despise can now bring so much joy. It's been a fun journey and there are too many people I need to thank for their advice, gifts, encouragement and friendship. The people of TSD are wonderful. Have a great day folks!

On a weekend trip - no picture today. The shave was fine. One pass for a decent shave that's good enough for today. Hope you all have a great day!

I got to take my time this morning and really focus on blade angle and light pressure during my second shave with the Gem MMCP and was rewarded with a near perfect shave. I had gotten an extremely close shave yesterday that had me commenting 12 hrs later how smooth my face still was. Im still amazed at how a $10 antique can outperform nearly everything else in my den........and the only ones giving it a decent run for its money are the same age:D
Big thanks to @Bird Lives for turning me onto the Gem Micromatic

Tom was so right, the Feather Pro AC transforms the F, just a spectacular shave. I had done an experiment with a Super AC last week and didn't care for it but this is a perfect combination. One of the easiest BBS head shaves I've ever done.

With the Feathers trim on the side such that you avoid the hole, I usually get a clean cut[IMG]
