    Blade: Chinese Schick
    Razor: PAL Adjustable
    Brush: Omega Hi synthetic
    Lather: Fine American Blend
Post: Witch hazel splash, Fine American Blend aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Decent shave today. I've concluded the PAL isn't for me. I don't get good shaves with it and don't find it comfortable. I know there are some big fans in this thread! I salute you if the PAL works for you and am jealous since this razor is a beauty to look at. But looks don't make the shave. My Schick injectors just work so much better for me.

Great lather from the Fine soap and great scent from the splash. I hope you have a great day!

    wchnu Duck Season!

These finally made it in. Feather Carbon Steel blades for the Auto Strop. I will soon have a review of the shave going.
(Instead of making a new post I am going to edit this one.)

These blades are sharp. A bit rougher then the first shave I would expect from a PAL carbon steel. Still a nice shave. I got one weeper from cutting the top off a sore on my neck.

My second Shave with a Hawk, using a heavier handle than yesterday, loaded with a Schick Proline Blade. The whole combination worked well
and I attained another great Shave.

However, I have been thinking that I along with many others have been using these light weight SE Razors, with much heavier handles to good effect, as the originals seemed to light , and encouraged the application of pressure. So in fact are these really nothing but glorified blade holders which show off the qualities of the AC type blades. The Likes of the Asylum, ATT, and Supply, which are more costly have been designed as true Razors, with the Head/Handle intended to work together to provide a good shave.

Expect to be tarred and feathered for my thoughts, but the production of these lightweights seem to quite short lived to date.

The Col. Conk Lime Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #150 synthetic brush. I did two passes the Gem Push-Button and CVS SE blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Speick AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
