Injector & SE Party !!!

Shovelhead (Rockwell handle) / Gem SS, La Bodeguita (Coates Lime + LASS Rum), Tom's B-400 = lovely Monday BBS shave. Not convinced the PTFE are better than the carbons, however, and the setup not as efficient as yesterday. Not complaining mind you, still a top notch shave.

Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Iced Pineapple aftershave
WTG, touch up

Schick L1 with the Twinjector blade again tonight. The blade felt a little rough so I put in a new one before the touch up. New one felt nice and smooth. Terrific lather and performance from Stirling as usual.

I have always found that the SS do not smooth out until around the 3rd shave. The Carbon is smooth from the start. Now since you never get more then a couple of shaves from a blade you do not get to that point with the SS. Plus in my book the Carbon just plain rocks.

 

Gee. You would think I had you in mind when I posted that.

So anyway when you get ready to give a real SE a try let me know. I will loan you something nice to try out. LOAN you understand.....

Getting better Shaves, using it angled more as as a DE than Injector seems to pay off.

I have the Henckels loaded with a GEM stainless blade for tomorrow. I'm using a full spine for a shim and the angle looks pretty good. I'm looking forward to shaving with it.

Tonights Shave
CV Heljestrand Kindal

I had my first shave with this beauty. All I can say is She did not disappoint. I loaded a freshly honed Heljestrand blade and proceeded to destroy 3 days growth.

The design of this lather catcher makes for a great noisy shave. As I have said before. You got to love these wedge blade razors.
