I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #144 finest badger brush. I did the two passes with the Schick I Hydro-Magic and Personna Stainless blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wow, Tom! This is the first I have seen of your new creation. Did you start a thread on this one? I am guessing it uses a standard SE blade. Well done. Is there a pass around?

Schick M today. Started feeling a little tuggy at the end, so I put in a new blade for the next use. Overall nice shave. Have a great day!

Whoa! Just like that out pops a new razor. :happy036: Love the look of that hefty handle - can't wait to hear more and see v2. :happy088:

It is the first post of it. No thread on this one. Yes it uses standard SE blades and is fully adjustable.

As for a pass around too early to tell.

Thanks Karl. I started messing with the idea over a year ago. Just found a bit of time and inspiration to finish up the prototype.

I never know ahead of my shave what I am going to shave with on any given day. I typically pick my set up right before my shower. Today I wanted to use my horse hair brush. It doesn't get a lot of love in my den as it is a little on the small side. I think it is about a 19-20mm brush and I prefer about a 24-25mm brush. I thought someone said something the other day about Vie-Longs but I can't find it.

As I chose my smallest brush I also went with the CF cream. My oldest son got me this soap for Fathers Day at my request. I had heard great things about Castle Forbes and wanted to try it. I don't really care for sandalwood and I'm not a big citrus kind of guy, so I asked for the Lavender. It lathers great just like everybody said it would. The scent though, is another story. I don't really care for it. I think I will ask my son if I can trade it for some MWF.

Today's shave was great. I love this L1. Two passes left me near, damn near BBS. After the shave I was feeling good so I finished off with some Thayers Aftershave. All in all, a great way to start the day.

    Razor: Schick '500' Injector
    Blade: Schick Proline B
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

I didn't get around to posting yesterday, but today is the third shave with the Schick '500' and the Proline B. Yesterday's shave was a bit too close with a bit of burn from the Alum and two weepers. Today's was smooth and issue free. Both were BBS or close enough for me.

I like the idea of having a central site. I have been only using vintage SE's on both head and face for several years now.

    ATT Se1 + Chunky handle with Schick Proline Type P [ 1 ]

A maiden Shave with the ATT Se1. Felt quite hefty but I have been using a Mongoose/Claymore so did not faze me. Shaving Angle was not a problem, and though the shave felt smooth, it was apparent that razor was very efficient. I have a strong beard and need a daily Shave, and do not need an aggressive razor just one that I can wield with ease to get rid of my whiskers. This Razor/Blade really works for me.
My only criticism is that one slackens off the handle to rinse the head, one has to be careful when retightening to get the head aligned correctly as the blade pegs are quite short, and are not secure in the peg recess.

Good explanation of the blade pegs. It has always been a problem for me.

So, finally and after a real Kafkian process of months with the Portuguese Customs the fantastic gift that @wchnu sent me arrived to its destiny! It's a beautiful Featherweight in fantastic state in its box with the instruction card still inside!
