Injector Week 6/3-6/9

Another Theme Week is here! The title say it all, ladies and gents.

Time for some Show & Tell! Who wants to go first?

 

Looks like I will have to sit out this "theme week". No injector! Someday, I am sure I'll give it a try!

 

Yep, the PAL Injectomatic is ready!

Leaving on a business trip to Lufkin, TX on Monday and coming back on Thursday. Taking this setup with me


The pink bottle is a Coral Skin Food sample and the brush is a Mighty Midget. I'm going to try to stop in at Bryan's Smokehouse in Lufkin to see how the ribs are. Restaurant Impossible just aired an episode from there, and I'm interested to see if it's any good after Chef Robert did his magic. On the show, a barbecue judge gave the ribs a 9 out of 10 after they tweaked the smoking and sauce. Being a skeptic, I think most of these "reality" shows are pure hype so it will be interesting to see the restaurant.

 

This will be my setup for the week - more or less.

 

I have no idea where to start! Gillette Injector? PAL? Cobra? Personna? Any number of Schick / Ever Ready? Ack! Too many choices!

 

I think it's a no-brainer there stingraysrock. Break open that Personna razor and the 74's.

I have been resisting the urge to bust open the '74's for a couple of years now. All the good things I have heard about them freaks me out a little; I don't want to get hooked on a discontinued product! I have enough of that Jones already with the tube of Noxzema cream that TSD Secret Santa sent me!

No, the PAL Injectomatic won't make it to the desert island...
This morning I shaved with it together with MWF, will try with Vergulde Hand tomorrow.
Hoping for less razorburn...

 

As I only have one injector, a Schick E model, I'll be using that all week.
Not sure how old the blade in the Schick is. Although I use it every week, it's only on Saturdays for touch up after my str8 shave. Still feeling pretty smooth, darn near BBS. I'll keep it in until it starts to tug.

 

My Hydro-magic didn't disappoint this morning. Got a nice close and comfortable shave and a great face freeze. It should be a little over 100 degrees here in Vegas today so I hope that face freeze lasts a while.

 

Too bad the Ladies didn't make the cut; don't worry though, I won't tell them.

 

I did not want to have to give them back...

Well, that's injector week for me...
The PAL I'm going to sell, this morning I shaved with it, but only the first 2 passes. After the tugging and already starting of some burn I took my Ikon OSS to finish the shave.
Such a relieve!
So, this injector and I, don't combine... maybe next Injector Week I'll find me an other one.

 

Well, I'll be sitting this one out. Had an Injector, gave me great shaves, but the balance wasn't to my taste. So I PIF-ed it along. Have a great Injector week ya'll!

 

My E type hasn't been kind... After two shaves I am dealing with some major burn on my neck... Luckily I have brought my flare tip as well. Perhaps it is just that I am less familiar with an injector? I really do want to love them...so much easier in so many ways.

 

The local antique/junk store has an injector in original box, may have to pick it up just to have even though I wasn't too fond of the shave
