Insignificant, but valid question for my record keeping

Usually it goes something like this. Two lathers and three passes, the last pass being all over but still a touch up pass.

 

The three pass responses make the most sense to me. It does help to make sure that when we all use common terms and references that there is at least a common ground, no matter how vague. And it's fun sometimes to just check and see blade uses, number of creams, soaps, aftershaves, etc just because, well, we can lol.

 

I’m with Steve. You need to be counting strokes if you want any accuracy.

I use a clicker that I operate with a foot pedal. The strokes are displayed on a small lighted display that’s attached to the edge of the mirror.

 

Talk about coincidence... I just put in my order for one of those.

 

Geez! After reading this thread; my head is starting to hurt. Besides strokes and passes mean nothing of you’re not measuring pressure

 

Let's not forget the lather's drag coefficient.

 

Two pass ... with the grain and against the grain and touch up.

Don't forget about whether it's hard or soft water. As the lather is affected, the razor does more or less work.

On another note, I am on shave number 8 on this razor blade in my G Type Injector. Still going strong.

 

I scrape 'til there's nothing left to scrape.
