I normally opt for sub-10 dollar sunglasses from whatever gas station I'm at- and have done so for years - but thought that this summer I'd splurge and went up a little bit from that and got myself some vintage Persol sunglasses from Italy. I mean, if they're good enough for James Bond they should do me just fine. Model: 2160 (which took me some time to find as this model is discontinued but it's the model that I find the most appealing (maybe apart from the 2244 but since I don't ever intend to spend three-digits on a pair of sunglasses they're out) Lenses: Original, amber polarizing. To a great summer all y'all!
I recently purchased two pairs of 57 mm AO Original Pilot Aviator sunglasses. I opted for the matte chrome frame with the true color gray glass lenses. I drive into the sun to and from work (uphill in both directions ), and these glasses are great! My friends here at The Shave Den recommended them, and I love them. They also scream middle-aged man, so I especially like the fact that they make me look so much younger.
The ones I wear most often are my Decot Custom shooting glasses, with the blue lenses. Pics, when I am at my laptop, because I don't know how to post them from the tablet.
I wear some cheap Foster Grant's that aren't even worth taking a picture of. I stopped getting expensive sunglasses when I lost a pair of $120 Ray Bans at a music festival.
I tried that...but managed to destroy (sat upon) Native Eyewear (3rd pair at 120/per) in a year. So now, when I head out to meet the masses...I get myself a pair of cheap sunglasses. Living at 5193ft/msl with 300 days of full sun is rough sometimes...I get a headache from squinting dusk till dawn. Sun is intense here, I won't even wear short sleeves before 6pm or so, even on 100F July days. I imagine in NorCal cloud glare and haze are a real issue when driving. I was in Monterey and San Jose a while back and thought it was super hazy in all lighting conditions, though I drove little.
