Couldn't hurt. I expect, though, that the emery board would take off more metal from the blade than the other way around!
If someone were to make a shavette out of a Tiger and an emery board, they get instant HOF status and become my new hero.
I'm thinking I may have to send you one of these for a shot in the shavette. Not the "real" Tiger......but the effect is the same.
...like a hero. Cinco de Julio or MAYhem...somebody hook him up! One pass to immortality! Or scars, but an eternal result either way!
Honing is what put me off straights. I still have *several* straights & a fine strop, but the next level means investing in more than just my barber's hone. Before I got distracted by Gillette DE's I had a $5 plastic handled shavette that used 1/2 DE blades. My Wecks use the longer Personna blades I've found at a local Beauty Supply shop. I'm guessing there are other brands of blades, like the Fromm#105, but they are quite a bit more expensive than half of a DE blade. Wet Shaving is going to save me money, right?
